How Do The First Time Home Buyer Grants Work?

First Time Home Buyer Grants are used towards the down payment on the purchase of a primary residence. The down payment assistance providers have partnered with local mortgage lenders to offer a one stop shopping experience. You must use an approved lender to obtain first time home buyer grants. The grants are provided by the Arizona Department of Housing, Non-Profits and Private Lenders. These programs give qualified individuals grants towards their home purchase, avoiding the need for a down payment. Our average client moves in to a home for around $2,500 out of pocket. The amount of the grant can vary depending on credit score and income however there are programs almost anyone can qualify for. There are programs currently available with no income restrictions.
