How Does Down Payment Assistance Work?
Traditionally, the minimum down payment to purchase a home is typically 3-5% down. For a 200,000 Purchase, That is $6,000 – $10,000 to purchase a home. Down Payment Assistance comes from the Arizona Department of Housing, Non-Profits and Private Lenders. What these programs do is give qualified individuals grants towards their home purchase, avoiding the need for a down payment. Our average client moves in to a home for around $2,500 out of pocket. The assistance amounts can vary depending on credit score and income however there are programs almost anyone can qualify for.
